// HOW WE ROLL
Here you'll find a little about how we, well erm, roll. It's mainly wedding type situations we talk about but our relaxed, fun, stress-free style covers all types of shoots we do really! If you need to know more about how we work please feel free to get in touch and ask!
WHAT WE DO
Let your wedding day unfold naturally and photograph all of the authentic, fun moments that make the day unique. Listen to the couple and pay attention to what makes them, them, so that we can reflect that in the images and/or film. Use ultra-flattering natural light, particularly a yummy sunset, as it’s our all-time favourite. Get creative when it pours it down, which let's face it happens a lot in the UK, there's no way you're missing out on ace photos just because a bit of the wet stuff. Blend into the crowd and make the process as smooth as possible. Get on with your guests and bring the best out of them. Edit for days on end to make the photos perfect. Get a kick out of giving you timeless images and a film you will love forever. For couple shoots and families we are the same, we act as ridiculous as possible to get those little ones laughing (at us!) and make sure your experience is fun and relaxed.
WHAT WE DEFINITELY DON'T DO
Staged cutting-of-the-cake shots. Take our couples away from their guests for hours of the day. Endless lists of forced-grin group shots. Make guests put down their drinks and pose for photos. Get all up in people’s faces (well, not often anyway).
HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?
We travel anywhere in the UK and indeed the world! In the UK we charge a nominal travel fee for travelling over 150 miles from where we are based in Warwickshire. For travel over 2 hours away I may ask for accommodation the night before. For international destinations, travel and accommodation charges will apply.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT WHEN BOOKING?
Yes. we ask for a deposit for wedding bookings to secure your date. The balance is payable one month before the wedding day.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU'RE ILL ON OUR BIG DAY?
It takes a LOT for us to be so ill and not be able to attend a wedding! FYI this hasn't happened yet. However, if the situation should ever arise, We have a great circle of fellow wedding photographers and videographers we can call upon to make sure your wedding is covered, with your approval of course. If this could not be managed you would get a full refund.
WHAT CAMERAS DO YOU USE?
Currently we use Canon 5D Mark III DSLR cameras for both photography and film and various external audio recorders for sound.
DO YOU OFFER A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT?
Yes, indeed we do! Please see our couple shoot packages and prices page for more info and see our couples gallery to see some examples. You get a discount on our usual couple shoot price if you've booked us to shoot your wedding.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS AND/OR FILM?
It normally takes between 6 to 12 weeks for full delivery of your photos and or film, but this is all dependent on what time of year it is. As you can imagine the summer months are crazy busy and editing takes a little longer due to the high volume of shoots.
DO WE GET TO CHOOSE THE MUSIC THAT GOES WITH OUR FILM?
We have final say on the music that is picked for a film or photo slideshow. The music is such an important part of a wedding film and we'd hate to ruin something with a bad/cheesy soundtrack. But with this in mind, we love getting suggestions and we're always listening out for the music that's used during your wedding day to see if it would be suitable in your film or photo slideshow.
CAN WE HAVE ALL THE RAW UNEDITED PHOTOS AND/OR FOOTAGE?
This is not a service we offer. We spend a long time going through all of the photos taken and footage captured to make sure we have all the very best shots shoots and footage included in your final wedding photos and or film.
DO WE GET ALL OF THE CEREMONY AND THE SPEECHES FILMED?
Yes as part of your film package you will receive the full ceremony and speeches edited together as it happened and delivered as HD digital files on a memory stick with your film and preview.
