Beaches to City Streets

It’s a question we get asked a lot - do you prefer beach weddings, countryside venues, or city celebrations?

The honest answer? We love them all. And for very different reasons.

When the Weather Has Other Plans

Beach weddings are magical. The light, the movement, the openness - they create some of the most cinematic backdrops imaginable.

But they don’t always go exactly to plan.

Wind catches veils. Sand finds its way into everything. Timings shift with tides. Hair has a mind of its own.

And honestly? That’s part of the beauty.

Some of my favourite images have come from windswept moments; dresses moving dramatically, couples laughing as they battle the breeze, guests holding onto hats mid-ceremony. There’s something raw and alive about a beach wedding. It’s never static. The elements become part of the story.

Beach weddings aren’t about perfection. They’re about atmosphere. And when you embrace that unpredictability, the results are unforgettable.

Rural Weddings… Space to Breathe

Countryside venues bring a different kind of magic.

Open landscapes. Barns filled with character and rolling fields. Big skies and golden hour light that seems to stretch forever.

Rural weddings often feel immersive and relaxed. There’s space to step away for quiet portraits. Texture in wooden beams and wild grass.

They have a softness to them, a natural rhythm that unfolds gently throughout the day.

Urban Weddings: Energy & Elegance

Then there’s the city.

Urban weddings bring structure, architecture, and energy. Clean lines. Historic buildings. Modern spaces with bold design.

I look for symmetry, reflections in glass, dramatic staircases, and the contrast between strong surroundings and intimate moments. City weddings often feel chic, stylish, and fast-paced - and I love capturing that dynamic atmosphere.

They carry a different pulse. Faster. Sharper. But just as emotional.

So What’s My Favourite?

Not the setting. The people.

Whether it’s a breeze sweeping across a beach, golden light in a field, or traffic humming outside a city venue - what matters most is the connection between you and the atmosphere you’ve created.

I’m always looking for the essence of your day. The details you’ve chosen. The way your guests interact. The traditions that matter to your families.

Every wedding has its own rhythm - beach, rural, or urban, and my job is to tune into that and tell the story honestly.
